Official/Reasons/Critique

In a top trio of hens, I like hen #4 to start. She has the least amount of pigment on the top of toe, with advantages in pigment loss of her shanks.

Rounding out the top trio, I like hen #2 over hen #3. Both hens exhibit a greater amount of pigment on the shanks and toes compared to my class winner; but I’ll side with hen #2 in second. When compared to hen #3, she has advantages in pigment loss on the top of toes.

In my bottom pair, there’s no doubt hen #3 places over hen #1. She has a greater amount of bleaching from her shanks to her toes. Hen #1 places last because she displays intense yellow pigment from end-to-end, a trait of a poor past production hen, thus is 4th.
