Contest Details
Participants will be judging eight (8) classes of four (4) animals each. The classes will be made up of animals representing the following species: Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Swine. Contestants will have ten (10) minutes to observe and complete cards.

There will be three (3) questions classes, consisting of five to ten (5-10) questions each. Participants will be notified of the classes requiring questions before placing that class.

Ties will be broken using species questions scores, overall question scores and overall score when breaking ties within species. Ties within questions will be broken by overall score and ties within overall score will be broken by overall questions.

Scores tied after application of these tie breakers will be broken by a method determined by contest officials. No duplicate awards will be given.

Eligibility
ASTs and CEAs may enter one (1) or more teams.

Each team will consist of no more than (4) four team members all from the same 4-H Club or FFA Chapter. Entry is open to the state of Texas. The three highest scores will determine the teams’ score. Team members are eligible for individual awards. All team members must be in good standing with their organizations.

Junior Division: Participants must be entered as a member of a junior team, be nine (9) years old or in the third grade but not have reached their fourteenth (14th) birthday on August 31, year prior to contest.

Senior Division: Participants must be entered as a member of a senior team, be in the ninth grade or have reached their fourteenth (14th) birthday but not older than eighteen (18) years old on August 31, year prior to contest. Any Participant classified as a junior may move up to compete on a senior team. This will make the junior Participant ineligible for any Junior Division Awards.

The contest will be open on Saturday, March 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All scores must be submitted before 5 p.m.
